Week 9: How to install a metal roof – part 2

Are you building your own house? Do you want to know how to install a metal roof yourself? We have been working at building our own house for the last 9 weeks. Here’s just a quick update of what was done last week. The metal roof on the house is finished, other than where the tin needs to be cut at the end of the roof.

Check out the completed house, and more amazing tips for owner builders!

Our contractors finished installing the ladders and strapping on the garage. They nearly completed the metal roof on the front of the garage.

And the back of the garage is all ready for when we install a metal roof.

I also bought a bathtub this week (my first purchase for the interior!) We are hoping to have the plumber come within the next few weeks, and he needs the bathtub there so he can do the rough-in. But first, all the interior framing needs to be done. There’s never a shortage of work!
