Once we had all the electrical and plumbing and HVAC finished in the upstairs, and once it all passed inspection, we were able to get our drywall contractor in. We hired Rattray & Sons Enterprises Ltd from Ottawa to do the drywall, and we couldn’t be happier with their work. The drywall guys came in and had the whole house boarded in two days. My brother works for Rattray & Sons as a mudder, which was one of the reasons why we hired them. My brother is amazing at mudding drywall. It takes a special person to do that job, and he is so good at it and also very quick and efficient. He did three coats of mud on the entire house, all by himself, and said he enjoyed it. When he was finished his third coat of the drywall mud, all he had to do was a light sanding and the walls felt as smooth as glass. The finished drywall makes such a huge difference, it makes the house feel more like a home and less like a construction zone. I will leave you with some pictures of the finished drywall.
